It's been a while since I posted anything, especially anything worth reading. I've been contemplating a blog redesign and forgot that I should continue writing content. I've also been a wee bit distracted by work and life. Here are a few things to point out:

1. Just added my twitter feed to my home page using the MOSSMan method http://blog.drisgill.com/2009/04/using-xml-web-part-to-show-your-twitter.html

2. Blog is back to its old color. I hated the black (and so did you). It was very hard to see the text and sometimes the font would inexplicitly disappear. More importantly, I also confirmed displaying black on LCD monitors (which the majority of you are using) actually requires more energy than lighter colors negating the entire reason for going black in the first place. Oops! Sorry about that Earth.

3. I'm sitting on billions of draft posts including the popular “5 reasons your users hate you” reasons 1- 4. It's not that I don’t want to post these, just that they require more effort and research than I have time for. After hearing it for the nth time today (thanks Laura ;-) I'm finally going to finish at least the 5 reasons posts. I also have some really cool stuff on db tuning and performance including how to scale a single DB portal past 100GB, 200GB, 300GB, TB's and beyond.

4. Finally, my calendar is not up to date. I have quite a few appearances coming up in June (besides SPTECHCON) which I will get on the calendar just as soon as I confirm dates, sessions, etc.
